Everything You Need to Know to Manifest Your Dreams

It's one thing to know what you want for your life but it is another to go about creating it. If you are truly ready to make a change and start designing a life that you actually love, then read on to learn everything that you need to know to manifest your dreams including:

It's one thing to know what you want for your life but it is another to go about creating it. You and only you are responsible for the life that you are currently living and for creating the change that you want. How bad do you want the life that you want? Will you change it? Read on to get a step by step guide to manifest your dreams.
1. Get Clear.
The most important step in dream manifestation is being really clear on what it is that you actually want. What is it that you want to move toward, a vague answer will not put you in the right direction ~ example - "I just want to be happy" or "I just don't want this career anymore". You need absolute clarity on exactly what it is that you want for your life. Refer to a previous blog post "A practical guide to finding your purpose" to help give you more clarity on what it is that will bring you happiness in life and you can also get a free downloadable guide & worksheets to help you through the process if you want some additional guidance.
2. Write it.
Once you have absolute clarity on what your dreams are and the direction you want to go in write it down!
What are your values & what is your purpose or interests you would like to test and investigate? (See above mentioned blog post here for guidance)
What specifically would you like to accomplish this year?
What do you want, put a value to it ~ how will you know when you accomplish it, how will it feel, how will you measure it to know that it is done? - be very specific here.
By when, what is the timeframe? - be realistic
Chunk it ~ what are the actions you will commit to take over the next few weeks to move you closer to your dreams?
Very important ~ why do you want what you want. You need to ensure that your goals are tied to strong emotions to get through the difficult times that will no doubt arise through your journey. Write out why manifesting this life is a must for you.
Before you start your list listen to this!!!!!!!
Once you have listened to the audio and answered and collected the above information then arrange it nicely in your journal so that you can easily refer back to it and track your progress. I do this in my bullet journal (See this blogpost for more resources on bullet journaling)
For an alternate view on the topic write down how your life will be in the next 2, 5 or 10 years if you don't make a change and go after your dreams. What will be the price you pay for staying the same? Be clear and specific, how would this impact your health, your relationships, your finances, etc.
Check out the following video starting at 8:32 where negative visualization is discussed. I would however, recommend watching the whole video as it is very inspiring and covers relevant topics such as how to stop sabotaging yourself so that you can create a life you love. Then take a few moments every month to think on this to help keep you on track but not on a daily basis so as not to consistently focus on the negative.
3. Visualize it.
You need to be in love with your dreams, you need to see your dreams, you need to be obsessed with your dreams in order to follow through and take the massive action necessary. If you are not inspired by your dreams, then they are not big enough! The best tool thats worked for me is a dream board that you see every day to help you to visualize your unique future. This vision board parctice is also backed by science - if you want to dig into the science more here are some articles with research as to why it works:
I do a new dream board every couple of years, and would recommend you do the same, as your dreams may change and evolve as you do. I can tell you, now from experience and looking back at my old ones , they work! I have accomplished 80-90% of what I had put on there, a lot of the times without even realizing it (note* don't make this mistake, realize and celebrate each of your small victories as you achieve them ~ it is the journey) but I digress.
Now take the time and create your dream board. Make it fun, get a couple of friends together, listen to music and do the following steps:
Take some old magazines or find and print pictures online that represent your dreams
While you can and should put things that you would like to get on the board you should include pictures that represent how you want to feel.
Cut out the pictures
Create a collage on some cork board or cardboard using the pictures that represent your dream life.

Once your vision board is complete, place it or hang it in a place that you will see it each day. In addition, take a picture of your final masterpiece, print it in color and tape it to the inside cover of your daily planner. I did this and I can now refer to my dream board anytime, anywhere. You can also do this by setting it as the wallpaper on your phone. The more visible and the more ingrained in your mind the better.
4. Believe it.
You need to convince yourself and actually see and believe your dreams coming to reality as if it has already happened in order to manifest. To do this you need to see it in your mind. Make sure to look at your dream board every morning and to take some time to really visualize your future as if you were already living it, this will set you on the right course for the day and inspire you to keep pursuing your dreams.
In addition to this, meditation also helps. In the last several years science has come such a long way to proving the advantages of meditation and the real personal benefits gained from a regular meditation practice. Further, if you are going to create a new future you need let go of your past and become the person you need to be in order to manifest the life you want to have.

As it relates to manifesting your dreams, I complete a guided meditation every morning to support me in making mine a reality. I am a busy lady and this meditation is short, under 10 mins, it's free and it's available via an app on your phone so you can't go wrong, check it out:

Listen to it every morning before you go out and start your day ~ I like to do it with headphones to avoid any distractions.
Do this every morning and I can assure you that you will notice a difference in your life quickly. I complete the meditation and immediately after look at my dream board and really "feel" the feelings as if it has already happened, then I review my goals and finally my personal value statements to get myself primed for the day.
5. Create it.
Now take action and start manifesting! You need to make time daily to do so in order to see the results. So each day:
Read your journal and review your written goals
Take at least one action per day toward creating the future you want
Look at your dream board daily and take a couple of minutes to visualize your future as if you were already living it based on what you created on your board
Do the 10 minute meditation each morning
At the beginning of each day set an intention for moving closer to your dreams
At the end of each day take a couple of mins to reflect as to whether you have taken any steps toward creating the life that you love.
Adjust plan as necessary
6. Guard it.
Finally, guard your mind. It is so easy to get distracted with all of the information constantly being thrown at us. We are what we believe and we are what we consume so it is so important that we choose to consume content that educates us, inspires us and moves us towards our goals.
