That's a big question to start a post with, but that is the only question isn't it? Our one and only job on this earth is to find our true purpose and calling so we can add value to this world. Here's how that dialogue looks for me:
Life: What's your purpose? What were you uniquely made to bring into this world?
Do you ever feel like your going through the motions, robotically moving through your days, starring in this movie that seems to be constantly played on repeat. Life is short and I need a plot twist. Are you living YOUR life or are you just a character in someone else's?
What do you dream of? I dream of living a life with energy, clarity, a clear sense of why. Of having freedom to do what brings me passion and adds value to others. Therefore, it is a priority to answer the question.... What is my purpose?
There is a lot of content available on this topic and based on my consumption of said content, below are some thought provoking questions that you might use as a guide to get you thinking about your purpose:
Most importantly, if you're like me and don't yet know your purpose.....don't panic. Just get out there and keep trying new things or different combinations to the above questions. If nothing else, you will get some rich life experience and conversation topics. It's the journey not the destination and what we focus on is where we go. So let's focus on the positive, of creating these new experiences and focusing on finding joy in the small things as we continue along the path to discovering our unique gifts. Let's set our intentions each day toward progressing on our goals and then at least we take back some control.
Finally, I will summarize with this. Each small step is still a step forward and is making the shifts you want to see in your life. If you are not where you want to be right now, my question to you is this. Will you change it?
