YOUR WORK AS A LIFE DESIGNER

We are all made unique for a reason and that is to fulfill purpose doing the work that only we can do.  This is what lights you up, gives you energy and in turn creates energy and adds value to the greater community. Continue reading this if:

• You are living for the weekend & only surviving Monday - Friday.
• If you know that your meant for more and have something to give, even if you don't know what hat is yet.
• You need some inspiration & guidance to help you discover your unique gifts.
• You want advice from the experts actually living a life they love.

​You only get 1 life!

We all get one life.  And as you know from other posts, I have come to believe that the most important thing that we must do (and the hardest) is to find what we were meant to do with that life.  Designing our lives on purpose to add value to the world to make our short time we have here meaningful and fulfilling.  To learn from our pain and to take direction from the obstacles put in our life that are trying to direct us back to our path.  To start to learn to listen to our inner whispers to guide us to become more of ourselves because we are all unique and meant to add value via that uniqueness that is why we are all made different, special.
 
As you may also know,  I am still searching for my purpose or calling or whatever it is that I am MEANT to do here.  But I also know that I need to keep looking to find what my work is and start intentionally living.  I am guessing that some of you must feel as I do….your job is sucking the time and life out of you.  It's not what you are meant to do but you don't have the luxury  of losing that paycheck, and day after day you survive Monday - Friday and live for your 2 days a week.  This has never been more real as it is to me today.  This post is a little more personal and I share it with you as I got some news that hit me so hard today that I feel I need to tell you as it may impact your life and the way you look at things too. I have been having some issues with my eyes and had some tests today.  The doctor noticed some problems with the nerves of my eyes mentioned that, it is unlikely as I am young, but I may have a kind of glaucoma and would need to do more testing to see what we are dealing with.  While I waited for the next tests and results all I could think about was losing my eye sight.  Wow, there is so much I have taken for granted, I mean think about it, really think about it, what would you be losing in your life if you lost your sight…..your freedom to some extent, seeing your children, your partner, butterflies and sunsets, your way across the street, what job would you do, could you do?  You couldn't read an article, a book, watch a movie, you would miss so much.  Now, if you knew you were going to lose your eyesight what would you do?  Really think about that.  Would you spend that remaining precious time with sight at that job you hate?  I don't think so.  But if that job was something that you loved and that added value and was bigger than yourself, I think you might. 

​So I say all of this to inspire you, me, all of us to keep looking.  That job we hate, well at least we know that we don't want that which is a starting point, so let's try and try and try other things on the side until we find out what sparks curiousity, gives us energy and that we can uniquely give back.  At least we can start making progress and learning and if nothing else adding to our own life experiences as we start to live life on purpose.  We can give back as best we can in the meantime and make our time here worth it.
