A little known fact is that slavery still exists and it comes in the from of the human trafficking of women and children. Worse, is the fact that this is the fastest growing problem in the world, and worse still, it is happening in your own backyard. In this post we look at:

• The problem of human trafficking & the staggering numbers behind it.
• How these women and children are used once their freedom is stripped away from them.
• The organization - Operation Underground Railroad and what they are doing to save them.
• What you can do.

This topic is one of the hardest to think about and communicate as it is so heartbreaking and hard to believe or understand.  This is probably why this issue is not publicly well-known and yet one of the fastest growing problems in the world.  This to me, has to be the most horrific crime against humanity and women and children that there is ~ human trafficking.  Slavery still exists in the world and more so than you would have ever thought.  Did you know:

These statistics highlight a huge and growing problem that cannot be tolerated. These women and children are used for sex, for work, and for their organs.  If you thought slavery was abolished think again, it is still alive and well.  I know that this is difficult, but I urge you to inform yourself on the situation by listening to the following podcasts and watching the  videos I have collected for you.  We cannot turn a blind eye to what is going on in the world to our fellow citizens.

The good news is that there is an organization out there that is fighting to save these people and make these criminals accountable for thier crimes. You will hear more about their amazing story and how the organization was started and what they are doing to save these souls.

Now that you have listened and watched the videos I know that you will probably want to act in any way that you can to support this organization and the victims of these terrible crimes.  And of course anything that you do does make a difference.  And you really can make a difference with sooooo little. In fact you can do a lot to support the cause at no personal financial cost.

• Get trained to recognize the signs of sex trafficking
• Become and abolitionist for as little as $5 per month
• Share a story or an operation
• Become a volunteer
