We all know how important it is to have a regular workout routine in order to look and feel our best so I am not going to go into all of the science and health benefits behind it in trying to convince you. But, what I know from experience that creates the biggest barrier to a consistent workout routine is 2 things ~ our mindsets and life in general getting in the way.
In terms of mindset, what I see (also in myself at times) is that we tend to think that we need to go big or go home. There seems to be these two extremes, we either need to do full daily hardcore hour-long sweaty workout sessions in order to get fit or we do nothing at all.
Then of course there is the second barrier….life. Let's face it, we are all busy and even when our time is optimized, have a lot of unexpected things that need our attention. So while our intentions are great sometimes scheduling (and sticking to) a daily hour long workout is not possible.
The solution to these barriers is ~ why not make it easy for ourselves? While an hour long workout is great, a shorter well structured workout is better than nothing. Plus, you would be surprised the results you will get if you worked out even just 10 minutes a day over time if you are following a well thought-out workout routine.
So, with this in mind I have handpicked 5 different workouts for you to incorporate into your daily life. The best thing about these workouts is that they are each only 10 minutes long (ok one of them is 15 minutes ?) and can easily be fit into our daily lives when we have a spare 10 minutes. And if you can't spare 10 minutes for yourself we have to have a whole other conversation on time management. Also, each video is a total body workout to ensure that you focusing on all the important muscle groups. Each one is also for any fitness level and is a different kind of exercise routine including HITT, Dance, Yoga, Barre & cardio so that you can try them and find something that you actually enjoy and as a bonus if you incorporate each of them you are covering all your bases with a well-rounded workout routine that is going to leave you looking amazing and feeling great.
Finally, as you get stronger and/or on days you have more time that you can set aside for your health, you can add in another video and make it a 20 min workout or all the way up to a 50 minute total body workout on the best days. And trust me, even if the workout is only 10 minutes each of these are great exercise routines that are going to get you breathing fast, your blood pumping, and your sweat dripping! They are short but full of impact!
I promise you that if you just start with these videos at 10 minutes a day that you are going to start seeing results fast and most importantly start feeling great about yourself not just because of the mental and health benefits but because you have committed, and stuck to, a daily workout routine.
